Is the hate against commercial (largely pop) music justified? Music is by far the most easily consumable of the arts, also when doing other things. The question is whether it's unfair to actual artists to be making music primarily for monetary gain without the expressive aspect of it.
Does the existence of commercial music drown out the actual art? It absolutely does, there's no denying that, when they share the same name and are found on largely the same places. It does because the people that largely listen to commercial music would absolutely still listen to music if only the actual art remained.
(I feel it is important to clarify that I (for now) do not conflate pop music with commercial music. It's logical that it is commercialy incentivized to make that, which would make the most money, that which is most popular. That being said, I do absolutely despise pop music, which is my own opinion)
But then it also becomes the question to what degree anything is "commercial", seeing as someone would have to like, or in the past would have to have liked making music to at least some degree if they put enough "effort" into it to make money. And since we then focus on the artistic and expressive aspect of it, how much more does someone deserve attention towards his music, that devotes his life and puts so much effort into it, than someone who just likes it and is also an artist? Where is the line drawn? Should the entire genre of "popular music" be deemed commercial for the sake of definitively leaving out those obviously largely in it for the money? Or would that just seem unfair? (That would be unfair to the whole artistic community and discriminate by the genre in which they make their art.) It could be presumed that no one starts being an artist with the sole incentive to get money. You could then however, do presume that those who are already making money from it, could keep making music without the artistic drive. (And oh my god has that to be David Guetta because what the fuck is that.) And most money is of course made with the most popular music.
So yes, you can absolutely point out the unfairness of people making music for money, them keeping actual art from being listened to.

Another question you could ask, to what degree can pop artists really be called "artists", when the inspiration to their music, art, very coincidentally resembles that of the contents of a pop music listener's playlist? Are they really in it for the art when they could seemingly be a little disinterested in the kind of art that is out there? Are they actually artists, is it just that their pool of inspiration was limited by no fault of their own? Or is pop their genre of preference by coincidence, simply because everyone has their own taste?

I dare to say that those who listen to pop never do because they prefer it. Because if they were interested in music at all, they would not listen to it. (To an immense degree I feel this is the case.) Regular pop music is engineered in a way to appeal to most people, being a blur of music that only utilizes elements that are a blur of the elements in all music. (music that appeals to most people will be listened to by the most people.)
AND REAL ART SHOULD NEVER BE MADE TO APPEAL TO ITS AUDIENCE.
And no, I don't consider music to appeal to an artist when they get rock hard thinking of the money it'll make them. Because art isn't a tool to get something else.
Therefore, regular pop is not even art.
If someone were actually interested in music, they would eventually go out of their way to get to know more music, which would bring them to music that they themselves really like.
Man, you know you're really making a strong case when you find flaws and arguments that are founded on ignoring previous statements, in the stuff you just wrote a couple of minutes ago.

You know, for all I know I could just be wrong. Pop artists could be actual artists, and their music could by coincidence mathematically, scientifically wait i probably mean statistically appeal to the most people possible. I just really hate it for that reason, how personal is your art truly, how much do you yourself really like what you are making, when nearly everyone else also likes it? Of course, for you to like it, a person has to like it (that person being you), and other people will like it too. But why is that so many people then?
It's just impossible for you yourself, your preference in art, to be the exact average of all people's preference in art.
If you're an artist, make what YOU like. If you want money, get a job man. If you're making bank with pop because you got lucky and became a famous artist before, well I guess you do you.

Just know that I hate you, David Guetta.

Except of course if you woke up one time and felt like David Guetta & Bebe Rexha - I'm Good (Blue).

When a character or thing like ยงโˆšโˆ†โ€ข pops up in a text, what sound do you make in your head while reading it? Do you not read the text to yourself (just consume the information directly) or sound it out in your head in some way? I do that, I say hheh, i wonder if some people say something like "this"
I'm up way too late again because im trying to find a video i saw some time about discrimination against art like right now and how it resembles the discrimination of art during the nazis and how discrimination against art is fascist in essence. It was a really good video, it sucks i cant find it.
Im very good with names (like i remember names that i heard once like the name of an artist and then i wonder why the hell do i know this guys real name) so its a bummer now that i dont remember video names like this, although it makes sense... Maybe i mean i should really stop for now and maybe continue searching tomorrow OH MY GOD I FOUND THE VIDEO. I remembered the thumbnail and what it was about in the first part after which i searched for that and i found it. Anyway yeah its great. Ill add it and sleep now.

You know how some things feel like you? Like part of you, and they stop feeling like their own thing and start feeling normal, like noise almost, when you dont "focus" on them? Like your favorite game, color, most foods probably? Yeah... I so do not have that with the color green. It's not me. I would feel uncomfortable looking at it, and I dont like it. It's like a city in my country Ive never been to. It's Groningen.
I just cant explain what i feel when i look at the color green. I think i tried my best, and did good enough. Wait, no, I can explain it. The feeling is the same as when you would look at a picture of a friend of yours. It's not you. It's the exact same feeling. Well, I should REALLY sleep now.

Ok no wait yeah I really explained that wrong. It's a picture of an acquaintance. No, a stranger. Aaargghh, i dont know. Just look up your least favorite color, get a picture, and look at it. What do you feel? I dont know what youd feel. I feel like, its not necessarily something im not SUPPOSED to see, but, green and i would both be happier if i weren't looking at it. Ugh, green, i i dont know. Well, not "ugh", I DONT KNOW!!!!!!
The color that most feels like me (noise) is blue, and the color i like the most is i think yellow. It might be blue, or mightve been blue, but then because blue started feeling normal (or because i just picked it to have an answer) i thought, well yellow is actually a cool color. (cool as in dope, wicked, rad, tough)

The most beautiful playground I ever was in as a kid was one in Denmark, it wasn't "magic" per se, although you would find it in a fairytale, it was just outlandishly beautiful for a playground.
Bro whenever people quote something said in the video and use the eagle emoji as a representation of screeching, like "WHAT THE- ๐Ÿฆ…๐Ÿฆ…๐Ÿฆ…๐Ÿฆ…๐Ÿฆ…", oh my god, that feels so freaking corny, it's like someone T-posing thinking it is funny, ok I had found the playground I was talking about another time before, which seemingly leaves me no choice but to conclude that my researching skills have become worse WHICH I SWEAR ISNT THE CASE, its just im not remembering how to find it and how to go about finding it.
